Taylor is currently delivering a new 170 bed Holiday Inn Express (HIEX) Hotel located in Newcastle following the successful completion of the HIEX Macquarie Park in Sydney in April 2016 (the first Holiday Inn Express hotel in Australia).

This new hotel will be centrally located on King Street in Newcastle’s commercial precinct within walking distance of the newly constructed Newcastle transport interchange and Market Town Shopping Centre. The hotel rooms are spread across 5 levels containing a mixture of king, queen and accessible double beds located on levels 3 to 7. The design includes two levels of suspended parking on levels 1 & 2 as well as ground floor amenities which will include the main entrance lobby, a meeting room, retail tenancy, gymnasium, laundry facilities and dining area for guests to enjoy their breakfast, meet, work and relax.

Open to the general public, this hotel will be an ideal choice for value conscious business and leisure travelers. It will offer contemporary accommodation in a convenient CBD location that is only a short distance away from Newcastle beaches, accessible via a range of transport options.

One of the most important project considerations is the level of detailing and finishes. Having completed the HIEX at Macquarie Park, Taylor have been able to leverage this experience understanding the client’s expectations and providing a dedicated Quality Assurance resource to ensure a quality build.
