Taylor is pleased to have secured the Redevelopment of Homebush West Public School for the Department of Education, forming part of the overall New South Wales State Government school program to provide new architecturally and technological current learning facilities targeting areas of urban growth.

The works comprise the demolition of existing structures to allow for the construction of a new teaching building ‘The Bow’ which will provide teaching spaces, toilets, staff areas, a new canteen and the creation of a rooftop, multi-modal outdoor learning and active play space.

The project requires the inclusion of five separate milestones of handover due to works being located over a large portion of the current school precinct.

Taylor has undertaken an extensive review of the site’s specific requirements and similar live working environments. From this review, we have provided a comprehensive plan to ensure both students and staff amenity and safety is maintained at all points in the programme.

The redevelopment of Homebush West Public School must meet the required handover dates to ensure the facility is ready for the new school term in 2019 in addition to maintaining the existing infrastructure so student learning is not compromised.

Taylor is proud to be part of this unique project in delivering one of New South Wales’ first multi-modal, outdoor learning and active play space for the students at Homebush West Public School.
