Taylor welcomes MBA Pre-Apprenticeship Program to our Haven project in Norwest

February 15, 2018

Industry engagement and education are an important component of Taylor’s culture and framework.

In collaboration with The Master Builders Association (MBA), The Taylor team were excited to welcome over 80 students involved in a pre-apprenticeship program to its Haven residential and retail development in Norwest as part of 4 pre-apprenticeship classes. The program offers 4 site visits, under the supervision of our team to see first-hand how a construction site operates. Our project team shared experiences of their careers and site safety, answering plenty of questions to give greater understanding of what the industry is all about.

A highlight for the group was being escorted to the top level of the building, where they could watch the final concrete pour for the project and witness the responsibilities laden upon our apprentices. These visits provide future trades people valuable insights into the day-to-day operations and management of a live construction site.

This is a great initiative and the team at Taylor look forward to continuing our relationship with the Master Builders Association.
