Last Friday 18th December, our Taylor team joined with our partner Fife Capital as well as commercial vehicle manufacturer, Scania, to celebrate a special Sod Turning at the Fife Industrial Facility at Eastern Creek, a new industrial estate comprising a truck depot and numerous industrial units. The ceremonial Sod Turning is a traditional groundbreaking event which signifies commencement of construction – a symbolic first turn of soil.

Fife Representatives, Ben Fife, Meghan Redfern, Rebecca Bestic and Jason Smith, along with Scania executives, Sean Corby and Mikael Jansson, all attended the milestone event beside our Taylor team members. The highly anticipated first turn of soil was followed by a light lunch together as the team prepares for a busy year ahead.

Taylor is excited to commence construction on this existing greenfield site at 2-4 Hannibal Street which is set to connect Scania to a high quality industrial facility for their operations. Works will include a new two storey maintenance centre with workshops, storage, mezzanines and office as well as construction of a new environmental station for waste storage and recycling. Five separate industrial units will be housed within one larger warehouse complex with ancillary first floor offices, identified as Units A, B, C, D and E.
