Twenty years on from Norwest Business Park’s official opening, two important milestones have been reached. Taylor Construction Group has turned the soil on the Park’s first commercial redevelopment, while just around the corner the brand new Atlas building, incorporating the first purpose-built Virgin Active Health Club already boasting more than 2,000 eager new members, has opened.

The redevelopment site at 22 Brookhollow Avenue, most recently occupied by Home Option Gallery, and formerly CSR Homescape, will soon be reborn as the stunning new commercial development ‘22B‘.

Capital Corporation Director, Steve Grant, was at the launch of Norwest Business Park in 1991. “Capital Corporation has built and/or developed over 40 properties since the inception of Norwest,” he said. “As vacant land in Stages 1 and 2 is now unavailable, we are pleased to be able to contribute to the area with the first site redevelopment at 22 Brookhollow Avenue.”

Richard Branson’s Virgin Active Health Club has opened its doors in the sparkling new Atlas Norwest building. One of the largest health club businesses in the world, with over 190 clubs and more than 975,000 members, Virgin Active is a major draw card for employers looking to reward workers with access to lifestyle choices including a 25m pool, spa and sauna, weight-training room, mind/body studio, rock climbing wall, kids fitness area, crèche and café.

Business in The Sydney Hills looks strong for the next 20 years. According to the Australian Business Register, the number of businesses grew by 2,711 new companies in the last five years.

Recent arrivals to Norwest Business Park, such Bell Partners and PriceWaterhouseCoopers, send a strong message to the market that The Sydney Hills is a leading professional services hub and an impressive location to expand or locate to.
