22B Norwest is the second major project undertaken by Taylor Group for Capital Corporation, with the nearby Atlas development progressing well. The Taylor’s team has taken 22B from the DA stage, under a negotiated design and construct contract.
22B will be a landmark building for Norwest Business Park. This mixed used development will comprise approximately 11,000m² of high quality office space, speciality showrooms and serviced apartments over seven levels to be managed by Medina Apartment Hotels. 22B Norwest will also include a cafe, three level open deck car park, coach set down and parking areas.
The Taylor team provided Capital Corporation with several different structural scenarios for the project to assist the company meet its required time frame and budget.
The base building design was coordinated to integrate the fitout of the Medina apartments, reception, conference room, gymnasium and kitchen areas while maintaining a high standard for commercial office space. Cost saving initiatives include pre-finished, load bearing partition walls to the apartments which save on both structure and finishes.
