KISS Hardstand Construction Project

The KISS Hardstand Extension at Bankstown Aerodrome involves the construction of a circa 9,600m2 concrete hardstand across two staged handovers inclusive of the removal and reinstatement of fencing, earthworks, underground stormwater treatment systems and associated landscaping. KISS will remain fully operational during the works with Taylor staging works to accommodate their operations.

Taylor provided cost saving smarts for the project through reducing the amount of contaminated spoil which requires disposal offsite. This solution involves spreading excess spoil in the adjacent paddock and capping with spray grass which significantly reduced waste disposal fees.

The most important aspect of the project is keeping the tenant operational whilst works continue by zoning the project and programming to undertake several staged handovers.

In addition, Taylor have also implemented several environmental and safety protocols to ensure works are completed safely with the tenant in proximity. This ensures the
tenant can continue normal operations whilst maintaining programme and cost savings for the client.
