Woolworths Ltd contracted Taylor Group to construct the new Rutherford Marketplace near Newcastle. This project consists of a new Woolworths supermarket and 25 specialty shops, serving the communities needs. On top of the new building, Taylor Group were also required to complete a basement car park with lift and moving walkways, external works including road re-alignments, new stormwater drainage, a new roundabout and the construction of a new set of traffic lights at the intersection with the neighbouring New England Highway.

In addition to the new construction works, the contract also involved modifications to an existing building including the transfer of all services to the new building and an upgrade of the existing buildings facade.
