Taylor Group provided project management services to oversee the design and construction of a façade upgrade and internal fit out of this popular retail complex. The project team liaised with (South Sydney) Council and engaged a specialist architect, engineers and service consultants on behalf of ISPT.
Innovative construction techniques and materials have been incorporated within this project. In addition to the structural steel, masonry and metal cladding used to construct the façade, CFC cladding and unique blade work have produced a contemporary finish. New landscaping incorporated sustainability initiatives, with rainwater tanks supplying irrigation systems.
To ensure efficiency of the construction programme and minimise disruption to the shopping centre’s customers and tenants, much of the work was conducted out of hours. Despite delays caused by wet weather, the project was completed on schedule and in time for Christmas trading.
