Industry engagement and education are an important component of Taylor’s culture and framework.

As part of our sponsorship with UTS Built Environment Association (BEA) Taylor hosted a group of 10 students for a live construction site tour of Uniting Bowden Brae Stage 2. The Built Environment Association supports the professional and personal development of students in the Design, Architecture and Building faculty and provides students with valuable networking and development opportunities with the University’s industry partners.

Our project team facilitated an educational site tour that included the importance of planning in construction, key challenges faced and how these were resolved. Safety, relationship management and valuable insights into the day-to-day operations, and management of a live construction site were central topics.

A highlight for the group was the open communication with Taylor’s project management team and hearing their personal stories and career experiences.

Some feedback from the students below:

This is a great initiative and we’re looking forward to seeing the next group on Thursday.
