Congratulations to our Powerhouse Castle Hill project team for their win at the Master Builders Association of NSW’s 2024 Excellence in Construction Awards!
Winning in the Public Buildings: $25 Million – $50 Million category, Taylor is proud to have delivered this state-of-the-art-facility for the local community. Designed by Lahznimmo Architects, Powerhouse Castle Hill is the new home for the storage, conservation, and display of the Powerhouse’s iconic collection. For the first time in the museums 140-year history, the entire collection, of more than half a million objects of national and international significance, is housed in the one location.
The building comprises flexible spaces for exhibitions, education and public programs, workshops, talks, and events, providing increased opportunities for skill-sharing and community connection. The expanded facilities also provide more opportunities for research and conservation work on the Powerhouse collection, with new working spaces for academic researchers, scientists and industry partners.
The MBA awards recognise exceptional construction excellence, highlighting outstanding commercial builders in NSW. By delivering Powerhouse Castle Hill, we enable the collection to be preserved and viewed for now and generations to come.
Thank you to our clients Powerhouse Museum, NSW Public Works, Create NSW, our dedicated project team, Lahznimmo Architects, and all consultants and subcontractors for their hard work in bringing this project to life.
