The 7,067sqm development will transform a previous lot of six dwellings into a residential aged care facility at 1 Yarrabung Road, St Ives.
The facility’s overall design replicates the appearance of townhouses to accompany the adjacent urban context and residential developments. It has been designed as a series of residential care wings collectively comprising 118 beds and dedicated spaces such as a commercial kitchen, dining, lounge, cafe, gymnasium, associated service rooms, nurse stations, terraces, storage spaces and activities areas. Luxury amenities include a hairdressing salon, day spa and nail bar. Works also include a single basement carpark accommodating 43 spaces and extensive external landscaping designed to complement the surrounding environment.
Once complete, the development will offer varying levels of care to support residents in diverse stages of life, including a dementia care specific wing.
