On a Construction Management basis, the University of Western Sydney engaged Taylor to construct a new Multipurpose Pavilion central to the Universities heritage listed Parramatta Campus.

Comprising 500m2 of functional space, the building provides common learning, graduation, conference, meeting, and exam space. The grounds surrounding the Pavilion are suitably landscaped to compliment the form and function of the building.

As the Pavilion is central to the campus and adjacent to main student thoroughfares, Staff and Student safety was a main priority. Managing a tight programme, considering the design complexity, adds further dimension to the project difficulty. Value engineering was employed to review material selection and buildability techniques to ensure the Universities restricted budget is not compromised.
