Recognition, Connection and Laughter Amongst the Team.

The Taylor team recently came together for an afternoon of connection and recognition at our Let’s Get Together event held at Taylor HQ. This special gathering is a key event highlighting our commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging workplace.

Enjoying a delicious spread of sushi, pizza, sandwiches and beverages, employees caught up and shared laughs with old and new faces. It was an afternoon of celebrating both company and personal achievements, kicking off the event with the ceremonial ‘Ringing of the Bell’ to acknowledge recent project wins.

After staff mingled and connected, it was time to get to know our General Managers and CEO in a fireside chat, hosted by Mark Taylor, Managing Director. Ben Folkard (Refurbishment and Live Environments), Stephen Williams (Commercial & Regional), Tim Christie (New Build), and George Bardas (CEO) shared memorable moments in their careers and offered insights into Taylor’s key values.

Following the panel discussion, we recognised the winners of our annual Taylor Awards program, a prestigious occasion that recognises excellence within the company. Aligning with our company’s core principles: Listen, Include, Create, and Excel, the four awards showcase our teams’ diverse talents and contributions. After all staff nominated their colleagues, the Awards Committee, comprising the 2023 Awards Program winners, selected 16 finalists, who were all acknowledged in the lead up to the event. It was then up to the company to vote for their four winners. Congratulations to all our finalists and award winners.

Include Award: Jessica Evans, Relationship Manager
Create Award: Lulu Zhang, Contract Administrator
Excel Award: Ervin Bunic, Project Engineer

Mark Taylor and Clive Wickham, Chief Financial Officer, then presented our Cadet Program Graduate milestones and length of service awards, acknowledging staff who had been with Taylor for five and ten years.

An enjoyable event on the Taylor social calendar, our Let’s Get Together’s provide the team with a unique opportunity to connect, celebrate our collective achievements and strengthen the bonds that make our team special. We look forward to our next company gathering at our Christmas Party later this year!
