Congratulations to our Estimating Manager, Scott Bertolissio, for his 10 years of service at Taylor! With over 35 years of experience in Sydney’s leading construction companies, Scott has brought extensive expertise in budgeting, estimating and tendering to our team.
Scott’s role at Taylor involves leading and managing the Estimating team to ensure the preparation and issue of competitive, innovative, accurate, and profitable tender submissions. He is responsible for completing detailed budgets and costs for all tenders, developing value engineering alternatives and value adds for clients, analysing and selecting the most appropriate subcontractors and suppliers, recognising and mitigating potential risks, and reviewing all tenders to ensure compliance with tender documents.
Scott’s journey at Taylor began in 2015 as a Senior Estimator, and since then, he has progressed to a mentor and a trusted manager to his team. His dedication to his work is evident in the immense pride he takes in his accuracy and attention to detail. Scott’s passion extends beyond numbers; he values the relationships he builds with colleagues and clients alike, viewing each project as a testament to his personal standards. Scott is supportive of his team and always willing to help when needed.
Known for his sharp wit humour, Scott always finds a way to have a laugh in the day and encourages his team to do the same. Growing up in a concreting family, Scott’s work ethic is second to none. He often shares stories of early mornings mixing concrete with his dad, instilling lessons of resilience and perseverance in his team.
