This project involved the construction of a 144 bed aged care facility, including an undercroft for overflow path, carpark, main kitchen and laundry at ground floor with loading dock to service.
The building is separated into 3 wings with separate smoke/fire compartments and the methodology was to construct in a anticlockwise direction from wing 1 to wing 3 and leaving the carpark slabs for the last pours for a handover with no damage to floors. A MDT 98 Potain crane serviced the project which minimised the risk associated with manual handing and the entire building was wrapped in scaffold providing edge protection for all trades.
The central core of the building comprises 2 main lifts which was utilised for the separable portion 2 works being all furniture associated works.
