The Taylor team at Newcastle are delivering the new Coles development in the up-and-coming Hunter Valley suburb, Huntlee. The project is being built for Coles Group Property Developments who handle all the developments for standalone Coles supermarkets, a distinct offering to leasing space in shopping malls and centres.
The Coles Huntlee project comprises a new 3,311m2 single level Coles supermarket, a Liquorland spanning across 192m2, a specialty retail space of 1,087m2 and 580m2 mall along with on grade car parking accommodating 242 cars, a loading dock and staff parking. The works also include the provision of services, mulching and fencing to an adjacent lot for future development.
The client has identified that certainty with programme as well as compliance with the Coles design brief are two important considerations in the delivery of this project.
To ensure these considerations are delivered to the satisfaction of the client, the project team and assigned Design Manager are undergoing thorough design compliance processes. These include ensuring that suitably experienced services subcontractors are procured for the project in a timely manner, specifically those who are very familiar and meet the requirements of the client’s design brief.
