These awards celebrate the contributions made by women at all career levels and in all sectors of the construction industry, as well as acknowledging male champions of change for accelerating and advancing the interests of women in the industry.

Both George and Cassandra have been recognised as finalists in their respective categories: ADCO Champion of Change and the MPA Achievement in Construction Refurbishment & Fit Out.
The ADCO Champion of Change Award recognises a male who is an advocate and driver of change in advancing gender equality and inclusion in the construction, property or related industries – accelerating women’s leadership presence and advancing the interests of women.

Reflecting on her involvement across two years of extensive renovations at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall, Cassanda Zughbi said: “I am incredibly proud to have played my part in this once-in-a-generation renewal that combines respect for heritage with cutting-edge staging and theatre systems, improved acoustics for artists and audiences and enhanced access for people with mobility needs.”
The NAWIC NSW Awards for Excellence will take place on the 24 November 2022 to celebrate the contributions made by women and men at all career levels and in all sectors of the construction industry.
