We are delighted to welcome Abbey Johnson, Head of Design & Innovation, to the Taylor team. Abbey’s appointment will significantly contribute to the stable and progressive growth and diversification of our business, ensuring Taylor continues to be the safest and most trusted delivery partner for our clients.
Abbey brings 25 years’ experience in the design and construction industry, having joined Taylor from Sydney Metro and previously working at Lendlease.
Throughout her career, Abbey has worked with renowned international architects across Paris, London and Sydney such as Renzo Piano, Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners, Foster and Partners, Aspect Studios, Kengo Kuma and Adjaye Associates.
Abbey has led many high-profile projects including the over station developments on the Metro West Line – a $26 billion infrastructure project creating approximately 10,000 direct and 70,000 indirect jobs in construction, as well as prominent Sydney precincts at Circular Quay, Darling Square, Barangaroo South and Darling Quarter. Her portfolio has cemented her position as a leader in urban regeneration – creating vibrant, award-winning commercial and residential inner-city communities.
This appointment marks a new era for Taylor; our clients are asking for innovative and sustainable developments, and Abbey’s expertise will ensure we can go above and beyond those expectations to deliver spaces that encompass social sustainability, design excellence, Connection with Country and culturally significant designs as well as lead our internal design and services professionals.
Abbey will work closely with new and existing clients across NSW – bringing projects that celebrate the connection between people and place.
