New aquatic centre and sports precinct for Tara Anglican School for Girls on track for delivery as completion date approaches.

The development, located between the school’s existing gymnasium, multipurpose hall, oval and tennis courts, will comprise of a 25 metre eight-lane competition pool, fitness centre and tiered seating for spectators and supporters. The tiered seating will include shade structures so spectators can comfortably view netball, basketball and tennis on six newly-refurbished outdoor sports courts.

The main pool will be enclosed and heated for year-round use. It is primarily designed to accommodate water polo, with a separate learn-to-swim pool, change room, shower and toilet amenities located within the facility.

Taylor appointed to refurbish Torpedo Factory at Sub Base Platypus

Located at 120 High Street, North Sydney, the project is the next stage in the Harbour Trust’s plan to revitalise this historic landmark.

The Harbour Trust protects and manages some of the most extraordinary places on Sydney Harbour. Its mission is to create a lasting legacy for the people of Australia by refurbishing historically significant foreshore sites, and providing places that greatly enrich the cultural life of Sydney and the nation. Taylor is proud to support the Harbour Trust in that vision.

The renewal of the Torpedo Factory at Sub Base Platypus will create a new foreshore park, provide heritage interpretation, and improve public access, creating a welcoming new entry way that includes parking spaces for locals and visitors. The completed project will link the Torpedo Factory to the greater Sub Base Platypus site. Project work will commence in May of this year, and is due for completion in early 2023.

The Taylor team is excited to bring this project to life.
