Located on Anzac Parade and Bunnerong Road in the bustling heart of Kingsford, this development sets the benchmark for quality in student accommodation.
The project comprised the design and construction of an 18-storey mixed-use student accommodation building, with retail and commercial tenancies within the development. The building includes 354 studio, one- and two bedrooms apartments, communal lounge, dining, games and study areas, a rooftop BBQ area, three retail spaces, and basement parking spaces for 16 cars, 100 motorcycles and 96 bicycles.
External works included landscaping in communal areas and public areas located in the retail precinct, with landscaping also integrated into portions of the design. The retail precinct will greatly improve amenities in this part of Kingsford in line with the Council’s revitalisation of the neighbourhood.
The project’s target is to achieve a 5 Star Green Star v1.3 rating, incorporating several environmentally sustainable design and construction initiatives. These included solar panels, recycled steel, fly ash, an OSD tank, recycled timber, reduced plastics, provision for an innovative garbage disposal system, and extensive end-of-trip facilities.
