The John Cunningham Student Centre Project Celebrates Final Concrete Pour

Team Taylor has successfully coordinated the final concrete pour for the new, accessible learning and study environment.

The final major concrete slab has been poured at the John Cunningham Student Centre at the Scots College. The slab required over 200m3 of concrete and contains 65 tonnes of reinforced steel and marks the completion of a major project milestone.

The project team’s attention now turns to architectural elements and detailing, including the sandstone dormers, ironbark hardwood rafters, slate, and a lead roof with cast iron gutters and downpipes.

Works continue to progress onsite, with Team Taylor preparing to commence bespoke internal finishes in 2023, encompassing intricate carpentry, tiling, cast iron and plaster designs.

We are delighted to deliver the John Cunningham Student Centre for the school community, and look forward to bringing this impressive space to life.
